Nothing is forgotten and everything lasts forever, Lake Como, Italy 2024
The sudden loss of Tess’s grandmother inspired her to reflect upon her mother’s mother, the skill of craft that had been passed on to her, from woman to woman to woman, and the deep and indefinite love created by a singular person. She spent the afternoon weaving us flower crowns, tokens of care symbolizing this profound feminine love through the traditional craft of weaving. This series documents the interconnectedness of the love shared between women, through nature, craft, friendship, and a lingering gratitude of mothers and mothers’ mothers.
